Top Five Theme Parks in the USA
From that Mouse to that kid with the glasses, the black robe and the broom, America’s Theme Parks are sure to leave you wanting more. Here’s our Top 5 list of theme parks in the USA.
1. Walt Disney World, Florida
Arguably America’s best loved theme park, Walt Disney World, in Orlando, ranks highest on the entertainment factor for adults and children alike and is probably the best theme park in the world. With its four parks over a sprawling complex, some say it takes about a week to experience everything. Purchase a park hopper option to cover more than one park in a single day or purchase the annual pass if you intend to keep going back.
2. Islands of Adventure, Florida
The “Islands of Adventure” park at Universal Studios in Orlando is themed around blockbuster movies and pop culture like Spiderman, Harry Potter, Hulk, Mummy, Dr Seuss, etc, nabs the number two position on family entertainment. Hit the wizarding world of Potter, first, if you want to beat the crowds. The well-made recreation of the fictional Hogwarts and the many thrilling roller coasters makes one wish the real thing exists!
3. Disneyland, California
A more compact version of the Walt Disney world, this original predecessor offers many popular rides like Soarin over California and California Screaming. Watch the fantastic fireworks display over the Magic castle every night or pose for photographs with your favorite Disney characters. Whatever activity you choose, this is a place where “dreams come true” and it is located in California where the weather can never get too hot or too cold.
4. Busch Gardens, Virginia
This European themed park offers an awesome combination of roller coasters and animal safaris, sure to appeal to everyone in the family. Get ready to ride the “Alpengeist” or “The curse of the DarKastle” or “Verbolten”. Some of the attractions here like the Wolf training and the Animals upclose and the Scottish stables are unique to Busch gardens and can’t be experienced anywhere else in the USA
5. LEGOLAND, California
LEGOLAND, a place dedicated to LEGO bricks, can be the most creative place for kids in the US of A. It has a plethora of bigger-than-life sized structures of Dinosaurs and dragons and replicas of the NY skyline, New Orleans harbor, Las Vegas casinos, New England villages and the San Francisco Golden Gate, all completely and painstakingly made out of LEGO bricks! The place is mostly designed for younger kids (11 and under) and the rollercoasters here are mild enough to be enjoyed by them.
